چکیده

Analytic hierarchy process (AHP) is a well-known attribute weighting method in multiattribute decision-making. Its major requirement to satisfy the consistency of pairwise matrix (PM). To solve this problem, we first propose new improvement PM based on ratio (CR) decreasing rate. In method, calculate CR rates all PMs reconstituted by replacing elements with lower and upper neighbouring 9-point scales find element maximum rate, then modify it its or scale. Second, develop third-order approximate polynomial for random index using least square method. It enables determine RI value according number attributes without numerical table. Third, final determining considered decision makers’ levels values individual case several makers perform their own comparisons. We test performances proposed some previous methods two examples. The results demonstrate that improves better faster smaller amount modification than methods, while scales, necessarily. apply hip joint prosthesis material selection. may be widely used practical applications AHP.

An Analytic Hierarchy Process Based Method to Process Mathematical Expressions

Mathematical expressions exist in all kinds of documents. The automatic location , recognition, analysis and understanding of mathematical expressions are important. Recognition of mathematical expressions has been an attractive problem for the pattern recognition community. When we meet the mathematical expressions we can’t recognize them like the way of ordinary text recognitions. We are in u...

Consistency in the Analytic Hierarchy Process: a New Approach

In this paper, we present a statistical criterion for accepting/rejecting the pairwise reciprocal comparison matrices in the analytic hierarchy process. We have studied the consistency in random matrices of different sizes. We do not agree with the traditional criterion of accepting matrices due to their inflexibility and because it is too restrictive when the size of the matrix increases. Our ...

Group geometric consistency index of analytic hierarchy process (AHP)

The analytic hierarchy process (AHP) is a structured technique for dealing with complex decisionmaking and is already used to solve many group decision problems. This paper used the CauchySchwarz inequality to improve the AHP algorithm that was developed by Escobar et al. (2004). They provided an upper bound for the group geometric consistency index in order to prove that the group geometric co...

Group decision makers making process - an analytic hierarchy approach

The paper deals with a step-wise analytic hierarchy process (AHP) applied by a group of decision makers wherein nobody has a dominant position and it is unlikely to come to terms with respect to either the weights of different objectives or expected utilities of different alternatives. One of the AHP outcomes, that is the consistency index is computed for each decision maker, for all other deci...
